Dr. Levy just came out and informed us that Lisa's surgery is complete and that he is very happy with how she came through. Lisa has been moved to the ICU to start the recovery process (YEAH!). Dr. Levy stated that they were able to abstract a very high amount of islets (around 364,000 for those of you counting at home) from her pancreas that were then transplanted into her liver.
Hopefully we will be able to see Lisa in about 30 minutes!
God has worked through Lisa's surgeons and they successfully completed her surgery. We place all faith in Him and know he will continue to bless Lisa through the recovery process in the coming months.

Praise the Lord! We are celebrating God's goodness with you! Will continue to pray for a safe & speedy recovering for Lisa, and peace & strength for all of you!
ReplyDeleteThat's GREAT news -- we couldn't be happier!! Give her our love and we will continue pray for her and your entire family during the recovery process!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow. I KNOW the relief you are feeling right now. That God...he's so great, isn't he? He got you through the anticipation of getting her through the surgery and now you're about to head down that road of recovery. Trust in Him and lean on Him because He is the only way your family will get through this without losing your minds. Y'all are loved. Please whisper that to Lisa for me, too.
ReplyDeleteMmm-Mmm-Mmm, God is good ALL THE TIME! - xoxo, Gayla
My mother-in-law, Judy Baty in Wyoming can't log in so she wanted me to pass on that prayers are coming from Wyoming. She remembers Lisa from the support she gave us when Bryan went through is brain surgery in March this year. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update. Been praying and thoughtful. Much love to Lisa . . . please pass along.
ReplyDeletePraying for you Lisa, Tim, Zach and Kaitlyn! So thankful things are going well. Thanks so much for the updates, Tim, they are very appreciated. Stay strong Zeigler family, God is caring for you.
